At the annual meeting of the German Economic Association (Verein fuer Socialpolitik) in Leipzig in September 2019 I will present our paper on Robots, Reshoring, and the Lot of Low-Skilled Workers.

Dr. Marc Gronwald, University of Aberdeen, is coming for a visit in June 2017 and will be giving a talk on "Explaining the EUA-CER Spread".

At the Regional Studies Association's Annual Conference 2017 in Dublin I presented my paper "Go East? Location choices of German manufacturing firms - an East-West comparison".

At the University of Augsburg I am invited to give a presentation in April 2017.

I am invited to present my work on firm-level analyses at the Statistical Office IT.NRW in June 2017.

Prof. Subhasish M. Chowdhury from the University of East Anglia was visiting and giving a talk about "Focality and Asymmetry in Multi-Battle Contests" in the cege research colloquium in December 2016.

Dr. Wolfgang Lemke from the ECB was visiting and giving a talk on "Below the zero lower bound? A shadow-rate term structure model for the euro area" in the cege research colloquium in November 2016.

My paper "Democracy and Trade - Differential Effects from Panel Quantile Regressions" was accepted for the conference of the Verein fuer Socialpolitik in Augsburg.

At the Goettinger Workshop International Economic Relations in February 2016, I presented my work on "Gender and Barriers to Trade".

My paper "Knowledge and Earnings" was accepted for presentation at the Early Career conference of the Regional Studies Association in Sheffield and at the Winter Conference of the RSA in London 2015.

I presented my papers "Trade, Taxes and R&D as localization drivers for German Enterprises - Evidence from Official Firm-level Data" and "Democracy and Trade - Differential Effects from Panel Quantile Regressions" at the UC Dublin Econ department seminars.

I was invited for teaching a course at the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia and for a visiting professorship at the IIT Kanpur, India.

At the ETSG conference in Paris 2015 I presented my paper "Democracy and Trade - Differential Effects from Panel Quantile Regressions".

My paper "European market integration and the determinants of firm localization--the case of Poland" was accepted for presentation at the World Congress of Comparative Economics in Rome 2015.

Dr. Daniel Heuermann from the University of Regensburg is visiting on February 4th. He will be giving a talk in the cege-research-colloquium about "Evaluating Active Labor Market Policies using a Spatial Regression Discontinuity Design".
